Our Tottenham fans here in the Transfer Tavern feel it’s time that their club win a trophy, particularly with French Newspaper L’Equipe (via TeamTalk) claiming Real Madrid are looking at Hugo Lloris.
The Lilywhites have become a real force in English football under Mauricio Pochettino but this era of the club will only really be remebered if they win some silverware.
Indeed, despite having some top players who are young, hungry and improving all the time, they have no medals to show for it and that needs to be addressed.
Certainly, if it isn’t you feel that they might be at risk of losing their best players and that could just be the case involving their French number 1.
Lloris has been in good form this season and was one of the few players that could hold their head high after the club crashed out of the Champions League earlier this year.
One of the senior players in the side, though, he may feel that he has less time to wait around for Spurs to come of age and so this reported Madrid interest could just be too good to turn down in the summer.
