Many Everton fans have been discussing Kurt Zouma as The Athletic (via The Gwladys Street) report that Frank Lampard blocked his move to Merseyside.
As per the outlet, the Chelsea boss stepped in to turn down an approach from Goodison Park to sign him in the summer transfer window.

Indeed, Zouma spent the 2018/19 term on loan at the Merseyside club from Stamford Bridge, and he did rather well there, winning 4.8 of his duels per game in the Premier League and also averaging 3.8 clearances, 1.7 interceptions and one tackle per match (Sofascore).
However, in the 2020/21 season so far, all of these stats bar average number of clearances per appearance have declined, suggesting that Zouma is maybe not playing as well as he was a couple of years ago.

With the signing of 22-year old central defender Ben Godfrey from Norwich City as well, perhaps Carlo Ancelotti’s team were right not to push Lampard for a transfer.
