Everton fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are hoping Ronald Koeman can put his foot down regarding the future of their leading striker.
According to MailOnline, Koeman is set to turn down Chelsea’s efforts of signing Romelu Lukaku and believes they have unsettled his striker in the process.
To resolve the matter, Koeman looks to offer Lukaku a new contract, which would put the Blues off of resigning the striker.
Chelsea remain confident of bring him back to Stamford Bridge, whilst Koeman believes they gone about this transfer in the wrong way.
Koeman is desperate to keep hold of Lukaku and now faces the task of persuading him to stay at Goodison Park.
Not only does he have to convince him that it is the right decision to stay in the short term, but he must also persuade him that the club will be able to support his development.
