The Hull City fans who are gathered at the bar in The Football Transfer Tavern were in a state of relief as it is widely believed that Big Sam will take the England job, meaning that they would be keeping their current boss, Steve Bruce – however – their mood has just plummeted.
According to the Twitter feed of BBC Radio Solent reporter, Kris Temple, Steve Bruce is set to walk out of his job at Hull City.

Temple has told punters here in the Tavern via a second tweet that Bruce had not taken training with the club today and that senior players were told the former Man United player would be departing the club.

The 55-year-old, who has been one of the leading contenders for the England position, led the Tigers back to the Premier League last season.
Bruce’s departure will be a bitter blow for City fans, who have admired the way the Englishman has carried out his duties with all the turmoil surrounding the club with their current owners. It also throws the debate around who will be appointed as the England boss into the air.
The club announced yesterday that any takeover would now take place after the transfer window has closed so not to effect recruitment, but it now appears that the club have a much bigger problem that needs sorting out as soon as is possible.
