Liverpool: Fans incensed by VAR call to rule out Jordan Henderson’s late winning goal

Plenty of Liverpool fans have been raging over a “ridiculous” call by officials which saw Jordan Henderson‘s last-minute winner against Everton ruled out for offside.

As the game stood at 2-2 and with the match in the balance in stoppage time, Thiago played an outrageous no-look pass to Sadio Mane who found Henderson unmarked in the penalty area and he scored what looked like the winning goal for the visitors at Goodison Park.

Unbelievably, VAR ruled that Mane was offside before the ball was played but he did not appear to be beyond Everton’s last man, with the goal subsequently disallowed and the game finishing 2-2.

In the first half, Toffees goalkeeper Jordan Pickford got away with an aggressive tackle on Virgil van Dijk which saw the Dutchman leave the field through injury.
