It is fair to say we are facing unprecedented times with football currently suspended due to wider circumstances – and on Alan Brazil’s Sports Breakfast on talkSPORT, Ray Parlour had his say on how to end the current season.
The Arsenal legend featured on the show, discussing the effects that would occur if the Premier League was to be played behind closed doors – or to Parlour’s disgust if the season was declared null and void.
It was made evident by both Brazil and Parlour that neither option would be suitable given the amount of time, effort and money that had already been put into this season. With teams sat in the relegation zone and Liverpool close to clinching their first title in 30 years, it is fair to say that the situation being faced is something never seen in this era of football.
The Romford Pelé came to his own decision – that the season should be finished when conditions are normal again, and this opinion didn’t go down too well with football fans on Twitter.

Finish the season whenever. If it runs passed August then make the following season shorter ie Teams just play each other once. The people running this League are absolutely deluded if they think it'll be sorted by the end of June.
