Our Tottenham fans here in the Transfer Tavern are pretty happy to see the back of the transfer window this summer with it proving to be a pretty frustrating time for the club.
Indeed, they left it pretty late to do any business in the window at all and, though they did get some names in before the deadline, there can be no doubt that fans would have liked a bit more pro-activeness.
That, though, is done and dusted now and the fans will be hoping the club can kick on this season and once again challenge for the title as they have done the last couple of years.
Whilst we wait to see how they do, though, they’d be doing well to take a leaf out of the U23 side’s book with them beating West Ham 7-2.
Fans, then, have reacted to this and so, with that in mind, here is the best of the response on Twitter:
U23s FT: Spurs 7-2 West Ham – Seven goals and two of four West Ham penalties saved – quite a game! Report on website soon. #COYS pic.twitter.com/XOZRa0bt4G

@davidgold where’s your tweet about this game?

Great result shame I couldn’t see the game, it was played 30 miles north of our geographic home. Play U23 games locally for real local fans
