For Celtic fans, nothing is better than winning an Old Firm clash. The Glasgow derby happens at least three times a season, and often there are five or six clashes a season, so there are plenty of opportunities to win bragging rights. For Celtic fans, though, they won eternal bragging rights with a 5-0 win that secured themselves their seventh straight SPL title last April.

For Hoops fans, beating Rangers is always special, but the ultimate aim for them is winning ten in a row, and they went one step closer to doing just that when they overcame the Gers in April last year. Title number seven was secured, and then less than a month later they won the Scottish Cup to secure the double-treble, and it gave them the best end of the season that they could have wished for.
That game in April, though, was a memory for life for the Bhoys who were at Parkhead. That 5-0 win came exactly two weeks after they beat the Bluenoses 4-0 in the Scottish Cup semi-final too, meaning that they’d smashed nine past their bitter rivals in the space of just 14 days. If they can end their season this time around with a thumping win over Rangers on May 12th and secure the treble-treble then it may even eclipse their buzz from last year.
You can read the Hoops’ buzzing responses to their big win this time last year below:
Strangely dissatisfying 5-0, should have been double figures

The Hoops will always remember that day last year when they smashed Rangers off the park and will be desperate for a repeat of it when they face the Gers in a month’s time.
