Fish Over The Moon

Blackburn Rovers Football Club have finally parted company with Steve Kean.

Mark Fish of the Blackburn Rovers Action Group said, ‘I am delighted. It’s been a long 12 months for all involved, and I never thought I’d see the day when he went.

‘The supporters are liberated and free of Steve Kean. I am just enjoying the fact that he has gone.

‘He has treated the supporters with contempt. We’ve got 8,000, 9,000 boycotting and empty seats are one thing he can’t mask. I have longed for this.’

The statement from Steve Kean read: ‘For reasons that I cannot discuss on legal advice, it is with deep regret, given my hard work and service for the club for a number of years, that I have been forced to resign as manager of Blackburn Rovers Football Club with immediate effect, due to my position as team manager becoming untenable.

‘I wish to thank all the players and coaching staff for their great support and the majority of the fans, who now see their club heading towards an automatic promotion position back to the Premiership. I wish the club all the very best for the future.’

Whoever takes over at Blackburn Rovers perhaps needs to give some thought to how managing a football club with absentee landlord owners would work for them on a day to day basis.

Well now, when it comes to football, one man has for many years been the most noticeable, the most controversial, and occasionally the most successful blogger this country has ever produced. His pithy words and abrasive style make him as famous off the pitch as he is on it. This man is Escapini. "I love football. Football she's a cruel mistress. She's, she's more than a mistress. She's a wife, she's a mother, she's a daughter, she's an errant child. She's a… she's a… she can make you laugh, she make you cry. She can bring tears me eyes. She can bring blood to me shoulders. She can bring a kettle to the boil." "Cause football is about nothing, unless it's about something and what it is about, is football."
