Sergio Aguero may be the preferred choice for the Chelsea board, as it seems the City goal machine is possibly looking at a way out once Gabriel Jesus is back and fit. Even though the Argentine would be a fantastic signing for the Blues, our landlord thinks Conte should be focusing his energy on these three strikers from across Europe instead…

Ciro Immobile

The Lazio striker has hit top form this season in Serie A so far, with 28 goals in 30 matches across all competitions. The Italian is known for his finishing ability alongside a keen eye for a key pass to one of his teammates, as he has 8 assists up to now.

At 28-years-old Ciro Immobile is hitting peak age, and that could play right into Conte and Chelsea’s hands according to our regulars in the back room of the bar.

Mauro Icardi

The 25-year-old Argentine striker is also plying his trade in Serie A with Inter Milan, but not as prolific as Immobile. Mauro Icardi has bagged himself 18 goals in 22 appearances in the league already, and with his instinctive finishing, his number is destined to rise.

He’s good in the air also, which is obviously what Chelsea have been looking for in the market of late. Our regulars think that this could be a great signing for the Blues and, he’s young enough to spend many a year at Stamford Bridge.

Mariano

Mariano is playing for the French side Lyon in Ligue 1, although he doesn’t find the net as often as the other two, he’s still got one goal in every two matches ratio. The Spanish forward likes to take long-range shots and always looking to have a pop at goal.

Our barman recognises that one of his weaknesses is passing but at 24, the Spaniard has got plenty of time to work on this.
