Forget Karamoh…. Arsenal should sign 1 of these 2 players instead

The Arsenal fans are in the Transfer Tavern tonight and the newest rumour surrounding their club isn’t exactly what they were hoping for.

Reports have surfaced in the past few days linking Arsenal with highly rated French teenager, Yann Karamoh.

The 19-year-old has been dubbed as the next Kylian Mbappe which doesn’t make too much sense to our landlord, considering Mbappe has barely burst onto the scene yet but still, it’s clearly meant as a compliment to his ability.

It is safe to assume that the young striker would be used as a back-up to Lacazette and Giroud if the latter stays at the club.

Despite being very highly rated but some pundits, Karamoh scored just five goals and provided four assists in 25 league games last season.

Whilst that isn’t terrible, Arsenal can do a lot better and there are some much more prolific young strikers Arsene Wenger could consider making a move for.

With that being said, here are two young strikers who Wenger should try and sign instead of Yann Karamoh.

Timo Werner

The 21-year-old star bagged himself 21 goals in 31 Bundesliga appearances last season.

The player is seen as the future of the national side going into the World Cup next year but given how unpopular his current club RB Leipzig are with the German fans, a move away could be good for him.

Should Werner continue improving on his already impressive abilities, he would likely be ready to jump ahead of Giroud in the Arsenal pecking order.

Kasper Dolberg

A Guardian article published on Kasper Dolberg earlier this year stated that the youngster was trained by Bergkamp and finishes like Van Basten. Not a bad description the 19-year-old.

The Ajax forward managed 23 goals in 48 games in all competitions last season and has shown no signs of slowing down.

A real prodigy in world football, it is only a matter of time before Dolberg moves on so Wenger should stay vigilant and make a move for him sooner rather than later.
