Forget Lacazette, Arsenal should sign 1 of these 2 players instead

It really was an uncertain end to last season for the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern.

Although, Arsene Wenger seemed to stem the tide at the Emirates by signing of a new two year contract which should have eased some of the uncertainty, the fans in the Tavern are still undecided over whether or not if Wenger is the right man to take the club forward for the next couple of seasons.

Alongside this, the futures of key men such as Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are still up in the air, though many believe that as the Summer goes on – the more likely these two are to stay at the club.

This will surely give Wenger something to build on and the Gunners have been active early in the summer transfer window with the signing of Saed Kolisinac from German side, Schalke 04.

The Bosnian international can play at either left wing back or the left side of a defensive three, which will suit Arsenal’s new style of play.

French forward, Alexandre Lacazette has also been linked with the club although our landlord feels there are better options for Wenger to pursue than the French forward.

He is mainly worried about the lack of interest in the Lyon hitman, with only Atletico Madrid looking to agree terms after their transfer bans concludes in January.

This has led to the discussion of which other forwards Wenger should sign instead.

The debate is nearly at an end and our landlord has revealed TWO forwards he believes would be a better fit for Arsenal than Lacazette…

Romelu Lukaku

The transfer activity around the Belgium has quietened of late, and our landlord feels Wenger should pounce to sign what would be a real steal from under the noses of his Premier League rivals.

The Gunners in the Tavern agree that Lukaku would be a fantastic signing due to the safety of the deal. The Everton man doesn’t just have experience in the Premier League but he is a proven goalscorer within the league as well.

This signing seems to be a no brainer but Wenger and Arsenal will have to move fast before other clubs reignite their interest in Lukaku.

Moussa Dembele

Our landlord believes Dembele should be the French forward on the Arsenal radar at the moment and has been spending a lot of his time trying to convince the Gunners fans in the Tavern why this is the case.

The Celtic striker has age on his side and Arsenal would certainly get value for what will surely be a hefty price tag with goals a certainty and with much of his career still ahead of him.

Dembele also comes with Champions League experience and a real desire to make himself something in world football, something that can really benefit Arsenal on and off the pitch.
