Metro have Manchester United fans looking up with interest here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they claim that one of the club’s former heroes will NEVER return to Old Trafford.
According to the publication, Ronaldo is happy at Real Madrid and is focused on ending his career there and that will not change even if the club are tempted to buy Eden Hazard from Chelsea.
In news that most United fans will be dismayed at, Ronaldo’s agent spoke about his future and it seems that there will only be one destination for him – and it is in the Spanish capital.
Jorge Mendes claimed: ‘I believe that Cristiano will finish his career at Real Madrid. He’s happy at the club and is still keen to achieve more success in Madrid.’
Given Ronaldo is 29 now, unless he makes a move back to Manchester in the next few seasons, we are pretty sure that he will be past his best anyway and United may simply decide that a younger player is a better idea – not that there are any better than the Portuguese man right now!
