Klopp and his team are now surely widening the net for this window for many backups in case number one, two or three targets aren’t willing to move.

So, with Wolves doing so well in the Championship at the moment it’s only natural that a couple of Premier League clubs have started to sniff around their players. With that in mind, their commanding defensive midfielder Romain Saiss has turned heads with his displays in the league and with his national team, who’ve just qualified for the World Cup.

During Morocco’s World Cup third round qualifying, international boss Herve Renard chose to use Saiss as a defender and, much to the manager’s delight, they did not concede a goal. He’s played a huge role in his national team securing their place in Russia and equally a big a part in Wolves’ push for promotion, making 17 appearances so far, so certainly has the experience to make a go of things on Merseyside.

The former Le Havre man was bought for £3m two seasons ago and his stock hasn’t risen too much so Liverpool could get this wall of a defender for a snip of the VVD price. Clearly, the Reds need more than one addition on the defensive front, so spreading the funds could be wise.

He’s been instrumental in two successful campaigns this season, Liverpool could get an absolute steal of a bargain if they decide to act quickly.
