Glasgow Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor may be 38 years old, but he is still going strong at Ibrox.
The shot-stopper returned to Glasgow in 2018, becoming one of the first signings under new boss Steven Gerrard, and he has since been a rock behind the back four for the 54-time Scottish champions. Last season, he managed 13 cleans sheets during the whole campaign, but even though this term was brought to a close prematurely with nine matches still to play, he had already not conceded in 14 games – all in all, he shipped just 18 times in the league.

His performances this term have put him in contention to be in the SPFL Team of the Season. The governing body’s official Twitter page have asked the Gers fans whether he should be in the side, and it is fair to say that they are pretty adamant he should be – unsurprising given his impressive stats.
