Get it done: Tottenham should seal these 2 signings before the Newcastle match

Tottenham continue to make their supporters wait for new signings this summer, but it hasn’t stopped Spurs fans’ excitement ahead of the new season.

To his own admission, Mauricio Pochettino accepts that Spurs are behind on their transfer dealings, but the Argentine has assured there will be arrivals before the window slams shut.

Tottenham have failed to add any new players to their books thus far, whilst Kyle Walker has been allowed to leave the Wembley lodgers.

The England international was booed by Spurs supporters when the sides for a pre-season friendly last Sunday. Manchester City ran out 3-0 winners in Nashville’s Nissan Stadium,

Pochettino says the fans were well within their rights to jeer their former hero throughout the match.

The Argentine could be anticipating a few jeers towards him should Spurs fail to snap up a player this summer.

We’ve picked out TWO Poch should finalise deals for before the opening day…

RIYAD MAHREZ

Riyad Mahrez faces a very uncertain future at Leicester City, with the attacker likely keen to play for a side that is competing for silverware.

Tottenham would certainly provide him with that, whilst the opportunity to work with Mauricio Pochettino may be too much for him to turn down.

The Lilywhites could do with a bit more depth in the attack, and Mahrez would be a great option for them.

CEDRIC SOARES

With Spurs needing a right-back, Soares represents a suitable replacement for Kyle Walker.

Of course, Pochettino already has the promising Kieran Trippier, but competition for places is key for players to step up their game.

Soares had a superb season for Southampton and looks destined to make a big money move at some point in the future. Tottenham should be the team to make it.
