It’s been a slow start for West Ham in the transfer window, but the Hammers have finally got going and their supporters down in the Transfer Tavern are thrilled with their latest signings.

Manager, Slaven Bilic appears to be assembling a frontline capable of taking it to the rest of the Premier League.

Ex-Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez has arrived from Bayer Leverkusen.

And the Mexican is poised to fill the (dusty) boots of the unreliable Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho.

Both players, particularly Carroll have been plagued by injury since arriving to the club.

‘Chicharito’, who netted 11 Bundesliga goals last season is set to be part of a threatening quartet alongside Manuel Lanzini, Michail Antonio and new signing from Stoke, Marko Arnautovic.

Hammers fans are still crying out for some reinforcements, particularly at the back.

BEN GIBSON

The Middlesborough defender had an excellent season for the North East side, despite suffering relegation back to the Championship.

Gibson, whose form saw him earn an England senior call up has been priced at £25m by Boro.

New boss, Gary Monk is desperate to keep the centre-back, but Gibson would make a fantastic addition to the Hammers.

ALEX OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN

The Gunners midfielder is desperate for regular first team action ahead of next summer’s World Cup.

Oxlade-Chamberlain impressed last season despite receiving just 16 starts for Arsene Wenger’s side.

He’s into the final year of his contract and West Ham should launch a bid for the midfielder competent on the wing and in the middle.
