The hard work really starts now for Celtic as they prepare for another season in the Champions League.
The Bhoys survived a scare in Kazakstan last month as they lost 4-3 against Astana and followed that up by drawing 1-1 at home to St. Jonstone in the league which has caused questions to be raised about Brendan Rodgers’ side and their complacency.
The Celtic fans in the Tavern have dismissed this and they are instead thrilled to see the impetus put on delivering in European football this season with high hopes placed on the progress of Rodgers’ men. This is because the overall feeling is that the standard of Scottish football will not improve enough to challenge Celtic this season and see how good the Bhoys really are, their squad have to really pull their finger out in the European competition.
In order to do this, our landlord believes that the Hoops still need to make sure that their squad is ready to attack what the season has offer and this may mean giving minutes to players who do not really feature much in the Bhoys first team in order for them to prove themselves to Rodgers.
With that in mind, here are two players Celtic should consider giving an opportunity to shine too.
