With the Rangers fans here in the Transfer Tavern desperate to see the club appoint a new manager at last, the punters propping up our bar are growing a tad nervous.
Indeed, our local Light Blues can’t believe just how long those behind the scenes at Ibrox have been taking to replace Pedro Caixinha. It’s been almost two months since the departure of the universally unpopular Pedro Caixinha, though things haven’t exactly been great without him.
As you can imagine, there have been a number of names touted with the vacant gig and recent comments from former Gers favourite Ray Wilkins have proven rather worrisome. Speaking to talkSPORT (via the Scottish Sun), he revealed he would be interested in the role.
Though the former England international was a popular figure during his playing days at Ibrox and many agree with some of the things he said, he lacks big managerial experience and the notion of him taking over has concerned some of our regulars. So, having said that, here’s a look at how Gers fans reacted to his words.
One thing I’ll say for Ray Wilkins. It’s nice to hear that passion about our club. We are sleepwalking just now and the whole place needs a lift.
