As per The Daily Record, Glasgow Rangers could miss out on Livingston striker Lyndon Dykes as Cardiff City enter the race for his signature.
The Gers have been continually linked with a move for the Australian, but as of yet, Ross Wilson has not made any contact with the Premiership side.

That has left the door open for English Championship team Cardiff to make their move, and the Bluebirds have apparently shown the most interest in the 24-year-old.
Dykes had an impressive 2019/20 campaign, showing that he was not only adept at putting the ball into the back of the net but also when providing for his teammates – he scored 12 times and made 10 assists in 33 matches in all competitions.
However, he is not the only forward the Ibrox outfit have been linked with in recent times – others mentioned are the likes of Lawrence Shankland and Ivan Toney, both of whom scored 24 goals in the Scottish Championship and English League One respectively.

Of course, that is at a lower level than what Dykes has performed at, but it is important to point out that the Livingston man has never scored more than nine goals in a league campaign. With Alfredo Morelos expected to leave and Jermain Defoe at an age where he can no longer be relied on week-in week-out, Steven Gerrard will need to add a prolific goalscorer to his ranks. Unfortunately, Dykes, for whom his current employers want around £1m, does not appear able to provide that.
