Glasgow Rangers will be looking to outsmart Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership next season.

The Hoops finished the season 13 points clear of Steven Gerrard’s side, after the SPFL decided that the top four divisions were not allowed to continue as it was no longer safe to do so, bringing the campaign to a premature end last month.

However, the ‘Gers are well aware success isn’t just about the short-term – they must plan for the future as well.

Last week, the 54-times Scottish champions unveiled the launch of the Rangers Online Academy, which will provide fans with exclusive footage of coaching sessions with the club’s top coaches.

Veteran striker Jermain Defoe shared ‘unbelievable’ insight into the life of a professional footballer during the latest session on Tuesday, which was attended by over 300 players, parents and coaches.

Defoe scored 13 goals in 20 games in the Premiership for the Light Blues in the season just gone and it is fair to say his appearance went down rather well with the fan base.

Indeed, many RFC fans gushed over the forward’s “masterclass” on social media, with one supporter tweeting the seminar was “brilliant,” and another dubbing the lesson “superb.”
