The England international is also thought to have attracted interest from Tottenham, though Steve Walsh is understood to be a huge admirer of the 24-year-old.
He’s said to be regarded as a good partner for Ashley Williams and the fact he’d likely be guaranteed first-team football could reportedly swing the deal in Everton’s favour.
