The Arsenal fans at the Transfer Tavern seem to have a cloud over their heads today for their superstar Alexis Sanchez may be leaving the club, but it’s not all doom and gloom.
Ever since his signing in 2014, Alexis Sanchez has been the main man at Arsenal. He has been the best and most consistent player in a squad that hasn’t exactly lived up to its potential in the last few seasons, and with those failures comes a seed of doubt planted in the Chilean international’s mind.
With currently 12 months remaining on his contract at The Emirates, it still isn’t known whether the former Barcelona man will sign on the dotted line and with that comes speculation that he may be looking for a move away from North London, with Man City being the front runners in the race for his signature.
Whilst it could be disastrous to lose perhaps their most talented player since Henry, there are plenty of rumours circulating that could prove Wenger has big plans in the transfer window.
With that being said here is a possible Arsenal frontline for next season, without Sanchez…
Mesut Ozil

Whilst Mesut Ozil may not be the most consistent player on this list, he is arguably the most talented on his day. The man with the magic pass can find anyone from just about anywhere, but why didn’t that show last season?
If you look at most of the passes Ozil likes to play, it’s those balls deep in behind for a runner to latch onto that he is so good at playing and unfortunately, Olivier Giroud is no speedster so it didn’t work. With a pacier attack for Ozil to feed then he could be breaking more assists records for fun next season.
Riyad Mahrez

Another player who didn’t have quite as good a 16/17 campaign as the previous year, Riyad Mahrez can be a world class footballer.
We saw him turn into possibly the best player in the league during Leicester city’s odds defying season but last season, not so much.
Having to do most of the attacking work by himself with the occasionally help from Jamie Vardy just wasn’t going to last. As mentioned with Ozil, if Mahrez joins the Gunners then he can be fed plenty of delightful passes in behind for him to latch onto and potentially whip the ball in for this next man to tap in.
Alexandre Lacazette
Lacazette is reportedly set to sign for Arsenal within the next few days and at only 26-years-of-age, he has represented France at every level possible and scored 129 goals in 275 appearances for Lyon.
Not bad going and whilst Lyon duo Mephis Depay and Nabil Fekir are formidable wingers who can make a host of chances for the French forward all game long, think of what Ozil or Mahrez could provide for him.
Arsenal will be a huge step-up for Lacazette and he’s the sort of player who can take his game to the next level and maybe even take Arsenal to Premier League glory.
Kylian Mbappe

If the rumours are to be believed then Arsene Wenger is lining up a big offer for French teenager, Kylian Mbappe. It always seemed there was no chance this deal could happen, but if Alexis Sanchez departs the club he will be leaving for a hefty fee, despite his contract running out in 12 month’s time.
If the likes of Manchester City come in for him then Wenger will want somewhere in the region of £50-£60 million if not more, which could line the French manager’s pockets just enough to put a bid in for Mbappe that Monaco could consider.
It will certainly be a risk to spend so much money on a relatively unproven player, but if he hits the heights many think he can, and Arsenal keep or bring in the other players on this list, then they could have the best attack in Europe.
