The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been pinching themselves today as the news has been reported by Kicker, via TEAMtalk (as well as the Sun and CalcioMercato) the Lilywhites have made a 50 million euro bid for Borussia Dortmund’s Christian Pulisic.

For Spurs fans, signing a player like Pulisic would be absolutely huge. The young American winger has bags of talent and the mentality to match and at the age of just 19, there’s no reason this teenager can’t go on to be a Ballon d’Or winner in the future. According to Transfermarkt, Pulisic is valued at an incredible £40.5 million and if Spurs can secure his signature they’ll be well placed to win some silverware in the upcoming season.
Pulisic has bagged nine goals in 21 caps for America and he’s got another two months until he turns 20. The way he’s going he will probably break Cobi Jones record of 164 caps for the USA and Clint Dempsey and Landon Donovan’s shared record of 57 goals for The Yanks. Spurs fans will be hoping Pulisic can break those international records as a Tottenham player at club level and if he does become a Lilywhite then they’ll be positive things around the corner for both the player and the club.
