The Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern have been looking ahead to some transfer dealings as they say goodbye to their young Scottish right-back, Sam Wardrop. The 20-year-old spent last season on-loan at Dumbarton and made 27 appearances for the club, scoring one goal and registering one assist in that time. However, the youngster has now agreed on a two-year deal with Dundee United, fans can read more on the Celtic website.

The young defender came through Celtic’s academy and has been involved at the club since July 2014, however, he’s yet to feature in a competitive feature for the senior squad and has now left for Tannadice on a two-year deal. Whilst the news of his departure is yet to affect many of the Hoops fans, they will be hoping that his de[arture can open up a spot in the squad for Brendan Rodgers to bring in another defender.
The fans could be forgiven for thinking they don’t need to change much this summer, as they’re fresh off the back of Scottish football’s first ever back-to-back trebles. Although the club will need to recruit well this summer as now Steven Gerrard’s Rangers will be looking to bite back and win their first piece of silverware since gaining promotion back to the Scottish Premier League.
