The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been praising their 26-year-old Danish midfielder, Christian Eriksen. The play-maker chipped in with two goals in the Saturday’s FA Cup game against Swansea as Spurs went through to the last four with a 3-0 win at the Liberty Stadium. Eriksen has been praised after speaking to the Spurs website.
Christian Eriksen has given the Spurs fans propping our bar up dozens of reasons to cheer over the years, the creative midfielder always seems to chip in with goals and assists for the North London club, and the Dane has become one of the most influential players in the Premier League. Now though, Eriksen is chasing his first piece of silverware in N17 as Tottenham set their sites on the FA Cup.
Our local Lilywhites have had plenty to celebrate over the last couple of years, although the one thing they’ve missed out on has been silverware. Tottenham have played some of the Premier League’s most attractive football under Mauricio Pochettino when Eriksen and co are in full cry. Saturday’s game against Swansea was just an example of that as Spurs cruised to a 3-0 win and never looked troubled by Swansea. The Spurs fans will be hoping Eriksen can help their side kick on and claim the FA Cup this season as they look to end the season on a high.
With that in mind, here’s the verdict from our resident Spurs fans:
Win FA Cup and get 3rd
