Guardiola confirms Man City interest in £95m pair

Man City fans have been reassured in the Football Transfer Tavern this afternoon, having just watched their side beat Borussia Dortmund on penalties in the exceedingly pointless, I mean prestigious, International Champions Cup pre-season game, their new boss confirmed he is doing all he can to land two massive targets.

The former Bayern Munich boss was speaking after his side beat Der BVB 6-5 on pens after American international Christain Pulisic rescued a 95th minute equaliser for the German side in a 1-1 draw.

Pressed on the issues of the deals concerning Shalke’s Leroy Sane, valued at £45m and John Stones (£5om) from Everton, Guardiola had this to say:

“Sane is a player from Schalke. If he comes, we’ll be happy. If he stays, I’ll be happy for the Schalke fans.

On the England international, he added: “It’s the same answer for Sane – he’s a player for Everton.

“Everyone knows we’re going to try but we will see.”

The BBC reported on Thursday that The Sky Blues and Everton were getting closer in agreeing a deal for the 22-year-old.

City fans, we want to hear from you! What do you make of Pep’s comments? Is it encouraging to hear that he is still going? Let is know below…
