But, they’ll need to turn their attention to the FA Cup later on today as they’ll travel to the Newport Stadium to face Newport County in the fifth round.
Indeed, the Welsh side have beaten the likes of Middlesbrough and Leicester City up until this point in the competition, so it won’t be easy for Manchester City as Newport will have their sights set on a huge scalp.
Although, Pep Guardiola won’t have to worry about anything if he makes these two decisions prior to kick-off…
START PHIL FODEN

Phil Foden is arguably one of the most exciting players in English football and he’s enjoyed his fair share of appearances in the first-team ranks this season, with 19 to his name in all competitions.
The youngster has appeared in both of City’s previous two FA Cup games, scoring one goal, so he should definitely be in line to make another appearance later on today.
It’s safe to say that Newport County would struggle to handle a man with Foden’s skill and qualities as he often glides past players at the Etihad, so he should have no trouble in putting in a match-winning performance today.
SERGIO AGUERO BENCHED

Sergio Aguero has been one of the standout performers for the Citizens in the current campaign, having scored an impressive 23 goals in 30 appearances in all competitions.
Interestingly, the Argentinian scored in the last round of the FA Cup against Burnley but Guardiola shouldn’t risk starting him against League Two opposition, as he’ll be influential in their title push.
So, with City destroying anyone in their path in the FA Cup prior to today’s match, they should have no trouble in leaving their star man out with there being plenty more talent in what is an extremely strong squad.
