It’s safe to say that Newport County would struggle to handle a man with Foden’s skill and qualities as he often glides past players at the Etihad, so he should have no trouble in putting in a match-winning performance today.
SERGIO AGUERO BENCHED
Sergio Aguero has been one of the standout performers for the Citizens in the current campaign, having scored an impressive 23 goals in 30 appearances in all competitions.
Interestingly, the Argentinian scored in the last round of the FA Cup against Burnley but Guardiola shouldn’t risk starting him against League Two opposition, as he’ll be influential in their title push.
So, with City destroying anyone in their path in the FA Cup prior to today’s match, they should have no trouble in leaving their star man out with there being plenty more talent in what is an extremely strong squad.
