Marian Aliuta has said that Rangers’ Ianis Hagi is better than Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi with both feet at the age of 21.
Hagi is currently on loan at Ibrox from Genk, with the Gers having an option to sign the Romania international at the end of the current campaign.

Aliuta, an ex-player himself who appeared for Romania five times, has heaped huge praise on the midfielder, telling DigiSport: “Neither Messi nor Ronaldo hit the ball so perfectly with both feet when they were Ianis’ age.”
That is an undoubtedly huge comparison to make between the youngster and two of the greatest players ever to walk the planet – it is bad enough he has to follow in the footsteps of Romanian legend Gheorghe Hagi, who is his father.
However, there is no doubting that he is a talented player who is adept at using both feet. That is something that is not too common in football, and if you look at Messi and Ronaldo, they do rely on their left and right feet respectively. That is not to say the other is just for standing on, but rather that they are not as confident.

So far, Hagi has three goals for the Glasgow club, and they will be hoping he adds to that in the future when football resumes. Whether he is able to follow in the steps of those two titans, though, seems unlikely.
