The Daily Star reports that premiership new boys Norwich, are looking to re-sign David Bentley on a loan deal. The former Arsenal man impressed during his year at Carrow Road. The spurs winger has found himself pushed out of Harry Redknapp’s plans at White Hart Lane as he looks to build a side capable of a top four finish.
Norwich boss Paul Lambert, has little room to manoeuvre in the transfer and is attracted to securing a player of Bentley‘s class to aid the canaries battle against relegation. The 26 year old winger struggled during his six month’s at Birmingham City at the back end of this season, failing to stop the west-midlands club from slumping into the championship. It is understood Alex McLeish wont be attempting to make the deal permanent, a return to Norfolk could be the best option for a man looking to rejuvenate a once promising career.
