Though the Rangers fans here in the Transfer Tavern have endured a fairly frustrating time of things in recent weeks, last night’s thumping win over Aberdeen had the punters propping up our bar dancing on the pool tables.
While the hunt for a new boss drags on, Graeme Murty put two losses on the spin behind him with a resounding victory over one of the club’s biggest rivals at Ibrox last night. As you can imagine, considering the fact the results also closes the gap on the Dons to just three points, our local Light Blues were delighted.
One man who proved his worth last night was summer signing Ryan Jack. The Scotland international left Pittodrie for his boyhood heroes over the course of the summer and was booed on his return to the Granite City with the national team last month, much to the frustration of our resident Gers.
However, with a big performance last night against his former charges, the support for the midfielder has been remarkable. With that in mind, here’s a look at some of it on Twitter.
