Those of you who have read any of my previous Nicklas Bendtner articles …can probably imagine my thoughts when I read that Arsene Wenger recently said this of the on-loan striker:
‘In our job, you never say never, you do always what is right for your club. If it is right for the club to get Nicklas Bendtner back, the club will do it.’
How many more chances do we want to give the 23-year-old, who has openly criticised the club and manager and said he will NEVER play for Arsenal again???
To be honest, I think that the club should be telling him that he’s not wanted and should do everything within their power to get rid of him in next summer.
Wenger added:
‘I know Nicklas very well. I like him as a player. I know as well that he likes to talk but that is part of his personality. You will never get that out of him.’
Well if that is the case them I’m sorry Bendtner, but don’t let the door hit you on the way out mate.
‘It will not only depend on us, it will depend on him. But we are not there yet – there is a long way to go. He is at Sunderland for the season – we wish him well. It is important he plays, he has quality and he must show that.’
Well there you go. The Dane simply has to show the ‘quality that he has’ and prove his critics wrong at Arsenal. I believe that he, in my opinion, won’t do much for Sunderland this season.
But, as Wenger put it – never say never, so expect the unexpected…even Bendtner returning!!!
