The Newcastle fans in the Transfer Tavern have been calling for their club to sign Kenedy from Chelsea for a while now, and according to The Northern Echo the Magpies can have their man this summer, albeit for a hefty price of £20 million.
So it's buying Kenedy outright NOW for £20M or loan him and agree to pay £30M to have first rights to the player next summer. Talks have progressed significantly in the last few days, while #NUFC will struggle to put together a package that will enable them to buy outright, now.

Newcastle have a serious decision to make as if they don’t opt to buy Kenedy outright this summer as if they choose to loan the Brazilian he could cost them up to £30 million next summer when if they decide to sign him now they can shave a third of that off and pick him up for £20 million. The issue for Mike Ashley is that he doesn’t have that sort of money readily available to pump into the Chelsea winger.
If the deal does go through it will be much down to the fact that the club are looking to offload both Matt Ritchie and Aleksandar Mitrovic this summer for fees of £15 and £20 million. This money would comfortably cover what’s needed for Kenedy and would even go towards signing a replacement striker for Mitrovic too. However, the fans aren’t thinking about money one bit and they just want to see the Brazilian back at St James Park.

I'd sell Ritchie if it meant signing Kenedy for £20m. Personally think he has the x factor which makes us a better team. I love Ritchie's work rate and commitment but we don't have too many player with that x factor.

£20m is an absolute bargain for him, £30m is a fair price. Do either deal, just do it. If we need to push the deal back to next summer to spend more elsewhere this year then fine, just as long as we can tie it up.

Whilst the money involved is big, the Newcastle fans in the Tavern are in no doubt that they need to sign Kenedy whatever the cost after his brilliance out on-loan.
