The Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern were thoroughly disappointed by the manner in which their side exited the Champions League last night. Indeed, there were no wild celebrations like that famous night back in 2012 and our Blues in the bar are feeling rather, well, blue.
While losing away at the Camp Nou isn’t something to be ashamed about in itself, the sheer gulf in quality between the two sides was depressing to watch if you support the Premier League champions and not all too many of their stars were able to light up a mild March night on the Meditteranean coast.
Still, though there weren’t many total howlers, the drinkers in our pub were annoyed by the performance of Cesc Fabregas. A graduate of the famed La Masia academy and a former Barcelona player himself, the midfielder was largely anonymous as his former teammates and countrymen alike ran rings around him.
Invoking the ire of those on Twitter too, here’s a look at the special words Chelsea fans had for Cesc Fabregas for his performance last night.

Cesc secretly still wants to play for #Barcá. That 2nd goal confirms it. That mistake by him looked staged #BarcaChelsea #BarçaChelsea
