Hull star Jarrod Bowen would be an ideal Saiz replacement

Jarrod Bowen

Leeds United continued their superb winning streak against Blackburn as thanks to a last minute winner, United made it seven wins in a row which meant they remained top of the Championship at the midway point.

United have suffered a raft of injuries which has forced Marcelo Bielsa to dip into the youth academy to supplement his injury-ravaged squad. Although Luke Ayling returned to the lineup, Bielsa has lost Barry Douglas and Liam Cooper while Patrick Bamford recently picked up another knock.

To add to those issues, Leeds have lost Samu Saiz who will join Getafe next month on loan. While he may not have been in great form, Leeds will need to replace the talented Spaniard who was one of the few players in the squad that could beat defenders and take them on in tight areas.

As they look to replace the talented midfielder, Leeds have been linked with a move for Hull’s talented attacker, Jarrod Bowen.

The Breakdown

Bowen has been a star for Hull this season and has had a hand in 11 goals for the Tigers in 24 games. According to the report, Hull value the attacker at more than £6.5 million but Leeds might be able to get him for less.

If they can get him for less, it would present a superb deal as the attacker is similar to Saiz in his ability to take players on to score as well as create goals.

He’s a talented player and would fit ideally into Bielsa’s style of play.
