Our Celtic fans here in the Transfer Tavern have been smiling constantly since the weekend and you can certainly understand why.
The Bhoys have been the run away team in the Scottish Premiership this year and duly sealed the inevitable with a fine win over Hearts at Tynecastle on Sunday.
It’s been a massively dominant year for the club and there really does seem to be serious momentum behind them as they look to go in search of a treble and an unbeaten season.
Do that, and things are going to be about as good as they get for the club with Brendan Rodgers doing brilliantly for his side.
And, with the success in mind, he’s said the club could compete with the top sides in the Premier League – via Sky Sports

That, though, caused plenty of reaction and so here is the best of what was said on Twitter:
@SkyFootball Scott Sinclairs there best player, he couldn’t even get into the worse villa side in premier league history

@SkyFootball @ScotlandSky 100% . English teams have over inflated ideas of themselves. None of them are near the top Spanish/German teams

@SkyFootball He’s more deluded than that nicola sturgeon fella

@SkyFootball It’s amazing how deluded the man is. Next he’ll be saying they’re champions league contenders

@SkyFootball They are playing against sides who would struggle in EFL div 1 or 2. The hype is unbelievable.

@SkyFootball with the same money to spend why not. I’d say that’s what he would have many coupled with the huge fan base and sponsorship

@SkyFootball They did manage to play well against City in the UCL… They were unbeaten in both clashes in the group stages so, Rodgers has a point.

@SkyFootball They could challenge most of the PL table, but I believe the top 6 clubs would still crush their high hopes.
