There was finally some restbite for some pretty disgruntled Arsenal fans here in the Tavern this evening as they watched their side overcome Manchester City in the FA Cup Semi-Final at Wembley.
The Gunners ran out 2-1 winners on the day and thanks to an Alexis Sanchez goal in extra time, they’ll be back at the home of English football to play Chelsea in just under five weeks time in the final.
After a poor league campaign and the embarrassment of the Champions League loss to Bayern Munich, it was definitely something to cheer for the Gunners faithful, who have a shot at some silverware this campaign.
It’s given our Gunners-mad barman something slightly more positive to say about his side after a poor few weeks and he’s managed to get the Red and White end of the Tavern singing once again!
And there was one man in particular that stood out on the day- with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain turning in a superb performance to help his side to victory.
