Do Not Sell My Personal Information

If Alex Sandro signs, Chelsea really need to sell these two flops ASAP – Agreed?

Our Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Taven will be hoping manager Antonio Conte, is going to be a busy man during the current transfer window. Indeed, after a difficult time of things over the course of the summer, it’s important that some major work is done on that front.

Chelsea desperately needs to strengthen in a lot of areas if they are to gather any sort of momentum to challenge runaway leaders Man City, despite the fact that Conte has done the best he can with what he has in front of him. Proving his worth as a wonderful coach, the Blues are in a battle for second spot.

However, the Italian will be eager to not replicate the summer window by missing out on key targets.

The latest link to Chelsea is a player that they went in for and missed out on in 2017, current Man United and Chelsea transfer target Alex Sandro. In fact, Chelsea are reported to be going in hard with a £50m bid for the Brazilian fullback to beat United to the chase for the Juventus star.

With that in mind, if they are successful, many of our regulars think that a couple of players will be shown the exit door in a bid to balance the books.

Our landlord takes a look at the two players he has in mind…

Baba Rahman

Signed under former Chelsea chief Jose Mourinho, the African has played a bit-part role after the Marcus Alonso was brought to the club. The left-back, alongside Kenedy, will surely see himself fall further down the pecking order with the potential arrival of Sandro.

Having been billed as the next big African to arrive at the Blues, he looked to follow in the footsteps of Micheal Essien. Still, a move out of the Stamford Bridge door may be smart thinking at this stage of his career.

Michy Batshuayi

The backup striker hasn’t made the impact Conte had been hoping for when Morata needed a rest. A more prolific striker will be a must for the Italian and shipping out the Belgian, who may seek more minutes anyway due to the World Cup year might be the course of action needed.

Chelsea needs strength in depth in that part of the pitch and a striker who blows hot and cold isn’t what they are looking for.
