The Gunners fans here at the Football Transfer Tavern are not in the best of spirits, having watched their injury list grow and grow over the last few days and having already missed out on key targets, they’ve received yet more bad news today.
According to controversial Italian journalist, Emanuele Giulianelli, Arsenal fans will have to wait to find out who Wenger will bring in to bolster his attacking ranks.

The Gunners have been chasing a striker all summer and having failed in their pursuit of both Jamie Vardy and Gonzalo Higuain, Wenger’s attention has now turned to Lyon striker, Alexandre Lacazette – who picked up an injury against PSG on Sunday.
However, in the light of recent injury news in the Gooners’ ranks, with both Per Mertersacker and Gabriel Paulista sidelined for the start of the season, focus has moved from an attacking signing to bringing in a defender before the start of the season.
