Celtic will be focused on working their way back into their Europa League round of 32 tie with Valencia on Thursday, as they find themselves in a worrying position after defeat in the first leg.
The Hoops have looked dominant domestically in recent times as they managed to extend their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at Rugby Park recently, with a late Scott Brown goal saving the day.
However, it appears as if the Glasgow side are eyeing a possible swoop at this moment in time, as according to The Mirror, Celtic are interested in Birmingham City’s Che Adams.
So, with West Brom boss Darren Moore insisting (as per Express & Star) that Oliver Burke will return to the Hawthorns in the summer, perhaps Celtic are looking to bring Adams to Celtic Park as a potential replacement.
Oliver Burke has been one of the shining lights since moving to Celtic Park last month, with a number of valuable contributions already to his name. But, with the forward more than likely returning to England at the end of the current campaign, it makes sense for Celtic to be looking at a striker.
Che Adams would be the dream potential summer replacement for Burke as arguably one of the most prolific forwards in the English Championship at this moment in time, with a whopping 19 goals to his name, which includes eight goals in his last seven league games. His pace, power and finishing ability makes him a very dangerous attacking outlet, but he may come at a big price.
Indeed, a summer move for the Englishman is extremely ambitious as he has the potential to succeed in the English Premier League, but it may be very tricky with the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal also looking at him. However, if Rodgers manages to pull it off then supporters can come to expect plenty of goals, with Adams possibly becoming Celtic Park’s new hero.
