The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are fuming this evening.
While well over £100m has been spent to improve Antonio Conte’s first-team, the Blues in the bar can’t quite believe just how thin the Italian’s squad is right now.
With the club preparing for life back in the Champions League, our west London locals were gutted to see Conte miss out on the likes of Fernando Llorente and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Having spent so much over the years, the Shed Enders here in the Tavern aren’t used to Roman Abramovich skimping out on new arrivals over the course of the summer, so it’s fairly new territory for them.
As you can imagine, it’s not a notion that’s gone down overly well.
We can only imagine how Antonio Conte is feeling right now…
