One of the major criticisms levelled at Arsenal by the rest of the punters in the Transfer Tavern over the years has been their perceived lack of character.
So often do the Gunners promise so much in terms of a title tilt, only to mess it up against the so-called ‘smaller teams’, much to the frustration of the north London locals drowning their sorrows.
However, their 3-2 win over Swansea City over the course of the weekend was a landmark one of the Emirates giants.
Thanks to a stat tweeted by Opta, they are in fact the only team to have won most Premier League games when having a man sent off than they have lost them.

Arsene Wenger’s side have won a solid 30 games compared to 26 lost in the Premier League when having had to deal with a dismissal.
With Granit Xhaka having been sent off on Saturday, some of the Arsenal fans propping up the bar are joking they’d rather have a man sent off more often…
