Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are desperate for the Gunners to land a defender before the start of the Premier League season, and they may be very close.
Social media exploded on Wednesday when it had become apparent that Arsenal target, Shkodran Mustafi, had dropped a hint that he may on the way to The Emirates.
The Valencia defender, who has been strongly linked with a move to North London, liked a photo on the Instagram feed of the Gooners’ new midfielder, Granit Xhaka.
The activity was quickly picked up by eagle-eyed Arsenal fans, and it caused quite the stir on Twitter, with some taking it as hard evidence a deal was done.

There is some concrete news to report on the deal, according to Sky Germany, the German international has agreed personal terms with Wenger’s side, and it is now down to the two clubs to make the deal happen.
