It Was The Goal Of The Week!

This season is surely being defined as one of the most high scoring ones in living memory. Every week someone’s getting thumped. Great news if it’s your lot doing the thumping I guess and certainly a refreshing change from trying to stay awake watching fun free nil nils.

So here’s our pick of the week’s best strikes.

But which was the GOAL of the WEEK?

Phil Jones touch was as deft as you’ll ever see as United lifted 3 points off of the Villa on a pitch you wouldn’t take a horse out on.

Manchester City drubbed Norwich City 5-1. Kun’s goal was either very flukey or an inspired piece of skillful determination. Nasri’s goal was a cross that nobody did anything but watch… Yaya’s classy strike made it three …. Balotelli’s put the fourth home with his manly breast… And Adam Johnson’s goal was either extremely elegant or the ultimate proof that Norwich’s defenders need to jack it in and get jobs in warehouses.

Spurs scored quickly through Gareth Bale against Bolton but them took all day to finish them off…

Arsenal thumped Wigan at the JJB four goals to nil. Arteta’ goal was superb. Vermarlen’s header was textbook.  Gervinho buried the third and it was Theo Walcott who set up Van Persie for a sweet fourth.

Well now, when it comes to football, one man has for many years been the most noticeable, the most controversial, and occasionally the most successful blogger this country has ever produced. His pithy words and abrasive style make him as famous off the pitch as he is on it. This man is Escapini. "I love football. Football she's a cruel mistress. She's, she's more than a mistress. She's a wife, she's a mother, she's a daughter, she's an errant child. She's a… she's a… she can make you laugh, she make you cry. She can bring tears me eyes. She can bring blood to me shoulders. She can bring a kettle to the boil." "Cause football is about nothing, unless it's about something and what it is about, is football."
