We’re not far off of the January transfer window opening for business now and here in the Transfer Tavern we’re very excited to see what deals get done.
Certainly, we’re expecting plenty of action at the top of the league as one of the most engrossing Premier League title chases for some time continues to cause shocks and surprises.
We’re bound to see, then, plenty of business from the respective title challengers and we think Arsenal will be no different.
The Gunners are looking the best they have for some time in terms of challenging to win the league this year and our landlord thinks that, with a few extra players, it really could be their season.
He does, however, think Arsenal may need to get rid of some players before any in-comings can be confirmed and reckons these two Gunners should be shown the door…
Yaya Sanogo

He was signed as the next big thing and to be Arsenal’s future top scorer but he’s been anything but up until now.
He’s never really looked good enough to truly cut it at the highest level and so for the good of all involved he should move on. He may come back to this level after playing more regularly elsewhere but he’s certainly not going to be getting a look-in any time soon at the Emirates.
Carl Jenkinson

Another player who has to be considered not good enough to represent the Gunners is Carl Jenkinson.
The right back joined with plenty of promise from Charlton but hasn’t been able to deliver on that and has spent much of his Arsenal career either out on loan, injured, or sitting on the bench. It’s unlikely that cycle is going to change if he stays at the club, too, so he should seriously be thinking to himself that he needs to leave.
