It’s time for Rodgers to buy these 3 La Liga stars for Celtic in January

Our Celtic fans here in the Transfer Tavern just get more and more confident they are going to win the league this season as the weekends go by.

You can’t really blame them, either, as the Glasgow club are running away with things at the top of the league in Scotland right now.

Under Brendan Rodgers the Bhoys have certainly gone up a gear from the days of Ronny Deila with them currently eight points clear of second placed Rangers whilst they also have three games in hand over their rivals.

It’s certainly become a bit of a procession for them at the moment but with Champions League football so crucial to the club, they need to keep signing players for next season.

Our landlord certainly agrees and thinks that Brendan Rodgers should be looking at these three La Liga stars to help them make the premier European competition next year…

 Oscar De Marcos

De Marcos

De Marcos is a very versatile player and would bring vital European competition experience to the Bhoys.

He can play as a right back or a central midfielder and does both jobs equally as adeptly for his current side Athletic Bilbao. With the Spanish team he has taken in plenty of European nights and that would definitely come in handy at Celtic who need to be eyeing the knockout stages of the Champions League as their next step.

 Dani Parejo

Parejo

Parejo is another experienced midfielder who would undoubtedly help Celtic’s cause in the Champions League.

Whilst the Glasgow club are not flushed with cash they do have better resources than any other team in Scotland and would surely be able to wrangle something with Valencia. The La Liga club are really in financial trouble and seem to have fiasco after fiasco at the moment so Celtic could profit. These are the types of players Rodgers needs to target.

 Paco Alcacer

Paco Alcacer

Speaking of the types of players Rodgers should go for this man would certainly fit the bill.

In Moussa Dembele Celtic have one of the most talented young forwards on the continent and they should try and show Alcacer they can do the same for his career. He’s currently at Barcelona but not getting much of a look-in and so if Celtic can get him in on loan they’d have one of the most exciting front-lines around.
