It’s time for Warburton to get rid of these 2 Rangers players this week

Though three losses to Celtic in a single season is never a good thing for a Rangers fan, the punters in the Transfer Tavern are largely happy about life under Mark Warburton.

Many of our drinkers believe he’s the man to help the Gers close the gap on their bitter rivals going forward and are hopeful some smart transfer activity can help them on their way to doing exactly that.

There’s little doubt some big name arrivals are required at Ibrox to do so, though Warburton will have to improve his transfer strategy somewhat in order to land them.

Not many of his summer arrivals worked out as hoped and the Gers really need to make some room in their squad ahead of the summer as they aim to bring in quality over quantity.

So, with all this in mind, here are TWO Rangers players Warburton should get rid of ASAP.

Philippe Senderos

In many ways, Philippe Senderos sums up exactly what is wrong with Rangers’ recent transfer policy.

Washed up and past his best, the Swiss has looked like a complete liability whenever he has played and is solely picking up a big pay cheque at Ibrox.

Really needs to go.

Martyn Waghorn

Though Martyn Waghorn proved prolific in the Scottish Championship, the likes of Joe Garner, Kenny Miller and Joe Dodoo have emerged as more dynamic options to lead the line for Warburton.

With that in mind, the 26-year-old could be afforded leave to make room for a bigger name striker.
