It’s time for Wenger to buy these 3 La Liga stars for Arsenal in January

The Arsenal fans here in the Transfer Tavern have been in good spirits this season, with their side going well in the Premier League and Champions League, offering their loyal bunch here in the bar hope that this campaign can be a successful one.

This past week saw the Gunners qualify for the Champions League last 16 as group winners, after ousting Paris Saint-Germain to hopefully hand Arsene Wenger’s men a more favourable draw in the next stage.

It has been 13 years since Wenger landed the Premier League title and last season saw him come under increased pressure from the Gunners’ faithful, and the Frenchman will hope to finally secure the title once again.

With the January transfer window on the horizon Wenger could be tempted to dip his toe into the market. Tavern writer Lee Clarke looks at three La Liga stars who he could look to sign.

Yannick Carrasco

Carrasco

The Atletico Madrid speed merchant would be a quality addition to any club in the Premier League and Arsenal could look to steal a march on their rivals.

The 23-year-old would be an ideal signing for Wenger, who has traditionally signed younger players and nurtured them into superstars.

One Gunners fan is throwing some darts at the dart board here in the Tavern and he thinks Carrasco would be the last piece of the jigsaw for the Gunners, stating that his arrival would make them favourites for the title.

Joao Cancelo

The Valencia right-back has been in quality form for Valencia this season and the 22-year-old could be a decent signing for the Gunners.

Cancelo would only act as backup for Hector Bellerin, although given the Spaniard’s current injury a right-back is a required area for consideration in January.

One Arsenal fan is enjoying a burger and a pint in the Tavern and he thinks that Cancelo would act as a perfect player to provide competition for Bellerin, stating that another right-back is a must.

Isco

The Spaniard has failed to hold down a regular place in the Real Madrid side yet again this season and a move away from the club could be on the cards.

Arsenal are long-term admirers of the 24-year-old and Arsene Wenger could attempt to finally land his man in January.

One of our pool team here in the Tavern is an ardent Gunners fan and he thinks that Isco would be a quality acquisition for the club during January.
