Life’s pretty good for the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern right now, who’ve watched their side genuinely keep up with the likes of Chelsea at the top of the league.
Clearly, there’s so much still to play for over the next few months, but the Gunners look like serious contenders right now, despite the absence of a truly top class striker at the Emirates.
In fact, it could be said Arsene Wenger has crafted his strongest squad in north London for years this term.
Still, you’ll tend to find many of the Arsenal fans propping up the bar in the Tavern lamenting the deadwood in the squad, especially when they get a poor result.
Wenger has recently shown a new found ruthlessness of late, loaning Jack Wilshere out to Bournemouth following his stunted progress and could the January window see him do the same?
In truth, Le Prof has plenty of options should he wish to open to loan door for those not breaking the first-team.
With that in mind, here are TWO players Wenger should ship out on loan in January.
Chuba Akpom

A promising young striker, though Chuba Akpom is coming to that age now where he needs frequent first-team football at this stage in his career.
Linked with another drop down into the Championship, the 21-year-old needs games to help overcome his recent lengthy injury.
Kieran Gibbs

Once a reasonably regular England international, Kieran Gibbs’ future with boyhood club Arsenal is looking increasingly bleak.
Unlikely to get much in the way of game time unless the ever reliable Nacho Monreal gets injured, the 26-year-old needs to get out now.
