  1. No Anton Ferdinand, unlike Evra, did not hear anything and never said he did either at the time or in evidence indeed, the only piece of evidence as to exactly what was said came from Terry himself.
I suggest that both the Suarez report and indeed the full Terry ruling are read. The crucial point in both is the context of what was said. It will be hard for the Fa to rule differntly from the conclusion the judge reached.
The commision talks about, in the Suarez case, the the level of evidence isnt just on the balance of proababilty but is elevated by the serious nature of the alleged offence.

  2. If industrial language is to be stamped out, it can not be done by existing methods. Suggest a sin bin system where a player is taken out of the game for 15 minutes without any cards being shown. That would soon reduce the occurencies, provide some incentive not to do it again, but not get the punishment out of all proportions. Racist language, whether sarcastic or not can be dealt with as it should be done now.

  3. Footballers and everyone in the sport are part of the society we all live in. If we all abhored this type of behaviour, football people would not have it. They are an uncomfortable extension of US ALL. WE ALL NEED TO TAKE A LOOK IN THE MIRROR IF WE WANT TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM OF RACISM.
